Visa, documents and packing
Work through this stage by stage. Your adviser checks it with you before departure.
Passports must be valid for six monthsSaudi visa rules require at least six months' validity from the date of travel, and two blank pages.
Documents
- Passport valid six months beyond return — Renew early — visa files cannot be opened against a passport nearing expiry.
- Passport-standard photograph — White background, full face, taken within the last six months.
- Nusuk account registered — Your Nusuk profile links your visa, permits and Rawdah bookings.
- Mahram documentation where applicable — Marriage or birth certificate evidencing the relationship, where a mahram is required.
Health
- Meningitis ACWY certificate — Required for all pilgrims, issued at least ten days before arrival in Saudi Arabia.
- Medication with a signed doctor's letter — Keep medicines in original packaging with the prescription letter alongside.
Before you fly
- Travel insurance covering pilgrimage — Confirm that pilgrimage travel and pre-existing conditions are covered.
Packing
- Ihram garments in hand luggage — Two white unstitched cloths for men; modest everyday dress for women.
